NYC crooner Lauv emerged earlier this year with a smooth-as-silk song called 'The Other'. Now he's expanding on those emo strains with a brand new track, the suitably impassioned 'Reforget', which sees Ari Leff's crisp vocal soaring above pensive guitar filigrees, deep, romantic bass and a peppering of stargazing synths. There's nothing to stop Lauv replicating the success of Brit hit machine Sam Smith in the US, so long as he keeps the standard of his melancholy pop this high. - DC
